Seconts’ database contains a treasure trove of information. In order to share parts of it with partners, the Seconts Web module has been developed. This module allows interested parties to have direct access to historical and real-time information and to make changes to their data.
SHARING SOURCE INFORMATION
Use by specialist departments
Seconts Web enables access to specific data via the Internet. A control room can grant specialists access to data, such as the invoicing department. This department then has access to the current customer data and its use. This allows the company to invoice on the basis of the applicable service agreement.
Use by end users and installers
End customers and installers can also easily access their data via the module. The control room manager determines what information a person is allowed to see and what functions in the system he or she may have direct access to. The user has access to his information and functions via the web portal with a login code. He or she can then, for example:
- Consult historical data
- Testing systems 24 hours a day
- View customer data
- View the received notifications in real time
As this is possible without the intervention of operators, it contributes to a more efficient operation for all parties involved.
Additional access protection
When granting rights, it is possible to enter a certain IP address. The user will only have access to his account if he logs in from this specified address.
An additional firewall is required to connect Seconts Web to the open internet. For the connection of the internet company network to the open (public) internet, the module provides a special link. This uses two separate network interfaces. Different protocols are used for these interfaces. As a result, the two networks (internal network and open Internet) remain completely separate and no routing is possible between the two network segments.
