“I’m excited about the flexibility and scalability of Seconts. Costs are another strong point; the customer simply gets more value for their money. As a consultant, I often run into specific requirements. It’s nice to have a team ready to meet these requirements. A different icon? No problem. We are different compared to the large suppliers where all kinds of interests may come into play as well. With us, it’s simple: if we say we’ll get it done, we’ll get it done. We’ll make it happen!”

” We work with a roadmap for product improvements and new modules based on on our customers’ input. Before we take any action, we conduct an impact analysis of the risks and cost/benefits. The development is done according to Scrum with sprints of 1-4 weeks. 2-4 times a year, there’s a major Suite-release every year and Service Pack-releases with interim improvements. Focus points for the upcoming period are: 1. Reducing operator actions (all in 1-3 mouse clicks) 2. More possibilities for Cloud work. 3. Further automation via Seconts Flow.”

“For a number of large companies, Seconts manages the complete control room automation with software, hardware and networks. These are control rooms in the high-risk domain, where up-time and service according to NEN-EN 50136 and NEN-EN 50518 is guaranteed. In order to guarantee safety, we carry out preventive and periodic maintenance and report on performance (VoP). Here, too, we consider customer contact important: remotely and on location in their control room. This interaction enables us to understand what is going on in control rooms allowing us to improve our job.”

“Part of a Seconts implementation is proper training. This is available for all modules in the suite. The duration and intensity depend on the target group and are always tailor-made. This varies from a one- and two-day training for a (main) switchboard operator to 3 or 4 days for an administrator. We prefer to provide the training in our own training centre. We simulate exciting situations in our ‘sandbox’ and participants are allowed to make mistakes when solving assignments live. We familiarise them with the general manuals and with customer-specific manuals as well as work instructions.”
